67 days into the Gulf oil spill crisis, four affected State Governors have now issued proclamations declaring this Sunday, June 27th as A Day Of Prayer. As recently reported here, Texas Governor Rick Perry is one of the Gulf Coast Governors to issue an appeal to make Sunday a day of prayer.

Perry stated-" It seems right and fitting that the people of Texas should join with their fellow Gulf Coast residents and others across the country and around the world to thank God, seek his wisdom for ourselves and our leaders, and ask him for his merciful intervention and healing in this time of crisis."

Alabama Governor Bob Riley said-"Throughout our history, Alabamians have humbly turned to God to ask for His blessings and to hold us steady during times of struggle. This is certainly one of those times."

Mississippi Governor Haley Barbour wrote-" Prayer allows us the opportunity to reflect and seek guidance, strength, comfort and inspiration from Almighty God and citizens of Mississippi are urged to pray....."

Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal declared-"June 27th as a Statewide Day of Prayer for perseverance "

MY prayer agrees with each of these AND that our Government will not politicize this tragedy nor nationalize this industry. May God give supernatural wisdom and strategy to those working to repair and to restore. May God pour His love and grace upon the families who have lost loved ones. May our nation re-awaken to God's love revealed through His Son Jesus Christ and to His righteousness and justice revealed through His Word, the Christian Scriptures.

May the "leak" be repaired, economic freedom preserved, the environment restored, families healed and nations unified through this in spite of its horrific scope. May Church and State agree that we need a miracle !

Dear God,

Please penetrate to the root of that
which caused the disaster
of oil pollution on and in the Gulf.
cleanse to the core
the pollution in the hearts of all
responsible and involved.
Fill up the deep lack in the hearts
and spirits of all,
so that greed be replaced with fullness.
That selfishness and ignorance
be replaced with heroism and wisdom.
Oh Lord God, Maker of all things,
transform the minds of
scientists, activists and anyone who has an able
mind, body, and resources
to change this situation.
Turn it around, Oh God, reverse and erase the destruction!
May we grow and evolve beyond this!

Where there is destruction
replace it with Life!
Maker of Miracles,
Unlimited Love,
Limitless and powerful,
If Your solution is to cleanse by storm--Forewarn your people!
May we all be safe.
Protect our precious oceans, oh God.
Let us not take for granted for one minute
the value of water!

As the bubbling thermal springs that flow under my town,
please, take these healing waters
multiply them
and send them spring to spring,
river to river
leading these healing waters out to the sea and cleanse it!

Living capillaries,
the earth's blood,
there are major clots in the arteries of the sea!
Don't let it hemorrhage oh God!
Prescribe medicinal waters!
Gather from Your pharmacopoeia
all that will heal the Gulf!
We love our waters!
We love our wildlife!
Take pity on your creatures; the flying ones,
the swimming ones, the four-legged and two-legged ones,
all that is Your creation!
It breaks our hearts that our Mother Earth and it's children
are suffering so!
