This painting is based Pope John Paul's theology of the body. The infant symbolizes a rebirth of one's soul having been cleansed by Christ. If you look at the details, words of love are written on her body , Yaweh on her heart and the face of Christ in her hair. This is an entry for Painters for Human Rights contest #1: All human beings are born free and equal in dignity and rights. They are endowed with reason and conscience and should act towards one another in a spirit of brotherhood.
